Chippewa Valley Roots

Born and raised in Eau Claire, Jeff grew his business and family in our western Wisconsin community. He's spent the last 37 years in his rural township home where he and his wife, Sue, built their own home and raised their two daughters.

Jeff knows how special the Chippewa Valley is. To give back to the community that raised him, he has dedicated his life to public service.

30+ Years as a small business owner

Starting as a father-son operation, Jeff grew a successful window cleaning business that ran for 30 years, expanded to 22 employees, and served the Chippewa Valley community.

Jeff knew the importance of providing health benefits and fair wages for his employees and has experience balancing those priorities with sustainable growth.

20+ Years in public service

When his daughters began school, Jeff got involved with his local PTA. That led him to serve on statewide public education task forces, as his town's chair, and in the State Assembly for two terms. After his time in the Assembly, Jeff worked as a grassroots organizer for nearly a decade, focusing on issues of clean water, fair wages, and public school funding. 

Jeff returned to Madison as our state Senator in 2018 and was re-elected in 2022 to make sure we continue moving Wisconsin forward together.
